Step 10 - Seam the turf (if needed)
After aligning the seams, fasten the edges together with tar paper. Tar paper will provide the best results and can be purchased at any home improvement store.

Begin with rolling back the edges of the seam. Create a piece of tar paper equal to the length of the seam, then remove the adhesive cover on the tar paper and lay down the turf on top of the exposed adhesive side. After laying the turf along the seam, use a roller to compress the newly joined materials. Once they appear to be firmly matted together, try walking on the seams to ensure adhesion of the material. In fact, it would be a good idea to place a weighty object, preferably a bag of sand to reduce any imbalanced markings on the recently laid turf.
