Step 11 - Cut outer edge of the turf to design
To add further value to the appearance of your turf, it is important to properly clip the edges. Simply outline the design along the edge of your turf with a piece of chalk. Chalk is a good marker because it can always be easily erased should you change your mind. Once again, select a sharp blade to ensure more smooth and accurate cuts, especially if the design contains a circular formation. Also, just use a pair of scissors to remove any orphaned fibers which protrude outwards along the edge of your turf.

REMEMBER: Take your time. Cutting off too much material will only delay your project further and could inflate your expenses as you may have to purchase more materials to compensate for unnecessary errors.
